Comfort and Fit

The JBL Tune Flex has adopted a design that is common and we are already familiar with it. As the AirPods 3, it has an open design but once you add the ear-sealing tips it will look like AirPods Pro. It has shortened stem design and a matte finish and it is very comfortable to wear. It comes in three sizes small, medium, and large. Coming to the case, it is very light in weight and has a battery indicator on the outside. You have to use a USB-C port for charging. JBL expects it to be charged for 8 hours and the case holds a charge for another 24hrs but it depends on your usage. It will take 2hrs to fully charge your case.

Controls and setup

The JBL Tune Flex has a control function on both buds, tapping once on the right will play or pause the music, the twice tap will skip it to the next track, three will take you to the previous track, and one long press can summon Siri. Coming to the left bud, it has the function of ambient awareness and noise cancelation. The best part is you can change the gesture controls in the JBL earbuds smart app for your android and iOS platforms. The smart app offers a lot of features including Ambient awareness, ANC, TalkThru modes, firmware updates, and an EQ. The EQ section labels three bands labeled Bass, Mid, and Treble in addition to five preset sound modes including jazz, vocal, bass, club, and studio.

The Sound and performance

JBL Tune Flex gives you an entirely new experience. The bass was good and it has a nice fullness to it. Songs with heavy bass can pump out thicker bass at high volumes without losing many details. It gives you clear sounds across the frequencies. The best feature of the earbud was Active Noise Cancelation and it does a great job of cancelling the surrounding noises.
