On 16th July 2023, Redmi unveiled its latest offering, the Redmi 12 mobile. Boasting a 90 Hz refresh rate, the phone features a 6.79-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×2460 pixels (FHD+), providing a pixel density of 396 pixels per inch (ppi). Driving its performance is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM. Running on Android 13 and fueled by a 5000mAh battery, the Redmi 12 supports proprietary fast charging.

In terms of photography, the Redmi 12 impresses with a triple camera setup on the rear, headlined by a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera, accompanied by an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) camera and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) camera. For selfies, it offers an 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.1 aperture.

The phone runs on MIUI 14, based on Android 13, and provides 128GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via a microSD card (up to 1000GB). It supports a single Nano-SIM card. The Redmi 12 has dimensions of 168.60 x 76.28 x 8.17mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 198.00 grams. It comes in Midnight Black, Polar Silver, and Sky Blue colors, with a glass body design.

In terms of connectivity, the Redmi 12 offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v5.30, NFC, USB OTG, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G with active 4G on both SIM cards. It includes sensors such as an accelerometer and fingerprint sensor, along with support for face unlock.
