Huawei revealed a new premium smartwatch called the Huawei Watch Ultimate. Huawei smartwatch case is going to be made of a zirconium-based liquid metal which makes it durable, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant and it will have a water protection rating of 10ATM, which means it is suitable for swimming and diving up to 100m. The swatch has an ISO 22810 waterproof standard and EN 13319 Diving Standard certification and it comes with multiple diving modes. The smartwatch is featured with two-way Beidou Satellite messaging support which is only supported in China. The company states that the Huawei Watch Ultimate is the world’s first smartwatch to support Beidou messaging on a mass scale. The smartwatch is compatible with later versions of Harmony OS 2, Android 6.0, and iOS 9.0.
The smartwatch comes with multiple sensors such as an accelerometer, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, air pressure sensor, temperature sensor, ambient light sensor, and a depth sensor and for calls via Bluetooth, it has a microphone and a speaker. Huawei is also featured with over 20 professional sports modes and over 100 basic sports modes for health tracking, it comes with a sleep tracker, heart rate tracker, and SpO2 tracker and also measures skin temperature. It is powered by a 530mAh battery, which can last up to 14 days on general usage, and 8 days on heavy usage. It supports Qi fast charge and it has connectivity options that include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS L1/L5, GALILEO E1/E5a, QZSS L1/L5 dual-frequency, NFC, Two-way Beidou satellite messages, which only works in China. It measures 48.5 x 48.5 x 13mm and weighs 76g.
