The upcoming iQOO Neo 9 Pro has been officially confirmed to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Two storage variants will be made available: 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. Additionally, key camera specifications were revealed by the company, with a prominent 50MP Sony IMX920 primary sensor featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
The latest information from Gizmochina, derived from the Amazon landing page for the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, discloses a robust 5,150mAh battery complemented by 120W fast charging capabilities. The 120W charger, operating as a PD charger, offers versatility by supporting fast charging for other devices like smartphones or laptops adhering to the PD protocol, with speeds reaching up to 65W.
Interestingly, 120W fast charging was also boasted by the preceding iQOO Neo 7 Pro, albeit with a slightly smaller 5,000mAh battery. This device recently underwent a significant ₹7,000 price reduction on Amazon, solidifying its position as one of the most appealing smartphones in the sub-30k price segment.
According to Gizmochina’s report, expectations for the iQOO Neo 9 Pro include a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with an impressive 1.5K resolution. The smartphone is anticipated to showcase a 16MP front-facing selfie camera and is set to be offered in two attractive color variants: Fiery Red and Conqueror Black. The design may feature a dual-tone finish, possibly enhanced with a leather texture.
Regarding pricing, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro is estimated to be positioned around the ₹35,000 mark in the Indian market. This places it in direct competition with the OnePlus 12R, which starts at ₹40,000 and also boasts the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, intensifying the competition in the premium smartphone segment.
